Welcome!
Welcome to Roger Electric Company Puerto Rico, the largest stock of electrical construction supplies in the island. While we continue to grow, our goal will always remain the same: to offer the lowest prices and the best service possible.
Save Money and GO GREEN with Roger Electric!
Roger Electric, Puerto Rico’s leading provider of electrical supplies, has become proof of how going green helps a business achieve more than savings on its energy bill. In _2010__ the company decided to apply for incentives offered by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), passed that year as a measure to spur economic growth. Some of the incentives offered by the act where aimed at companies who took measures that represented a more efficient energy use and had a positive impact on the environment.
Roger Electric recently implemented the use of solar energy via photovoltaic panels in all its local stores as part of its 40th anniversary celebration. The first store to be 100% converted to solar energy will be the Río Grande branch. Commencing with the conversion of existing illumination to more efficient forms, the plan culminates with the full production of renewable energy.
“We also offer a broad range of conservation products that provide real and measurable energy savings and make operations more sustainable. “We are constantly looking for innovative ways to conserve energy and provide a significant profit return for our clients.”
Less expensive solar power as an energy study
By Gerardo E. Leon Alvarado / galvarado@elnuevodia.com
Although in most countries generate electricity from renewable sources is expensive, high energy costs on the island, supported by the dependence on oil-production allowsalternative technologies like solar photovoltaics, cost the same or less than crude oil andother fossil fuels.
An analysis prepared by the electrical engineer Agustín Irizarry revealed even now a photovoltaic system installed on a Puerto Rican home generate electricity cheaper thanselling the Electric Power Authority (ESA).
